Volunteers Needed at Community Center Shanghai


Class Coordinator Assistant:  (2 volunteers – 2 half days each)
Assist Classes and Tour program on the following
 •  put classes onto the website
 •  Edit Class book
 •  Edit class info on website and on newsletter.
 •  Translators/Interpretor:  for classes needed. They can take the class for free!
 •  Graphic Designer for class flyers

Coffee Connection Committee
 •  Need team members to help prepare and implement Coffee Connection twice a month. Team meeting once a month.

Newcomers Orientation Program (2 days a week)
 •  Research for training materials
 •  Research on activities/resources available for expat in Shanghai
 •  Prepare marketing materials

  •  •  Newsletter back up writer:  need someone who loves to write to help CCS staff writer and also be a back up person for newsletter when she is on vocation. This person can also organize feature stories to be fed to Media for publishing and become the "Reporter" for CCS
  •  •  Website content builder:  Also a writer who is technically capable to
  •  •  Website maintenance back up person:  Be the back up for Judi ( webmaster) to update and maintain Website with advertising, loading newsletters, and updating classified.
  •  •  Event organizer:  well organized planner needed for some exciting events CCS is running!  Career day, Spelling Bee,  Sample sale,  You name it!   We need planners,  we need marketers, and we need organizers,  These volunteer positions are event specific,  so commitment can be for the duration of the event. 
  •  •  Advertising associates:  Be the specialist in CCS advertising with one industry!  We need several ad associates who can be commission based, and focus on one industry segment, such as health care, food, restaurant, travel,  hospitality, etc,  to market CCS advertising.     You must have good presentation skill and communication skill, and know how to represent CCS in building these partnership with industries.  These volunteers can be based under the Advertising Manager.
 •  Media Specialist: We need these volunteers to be constantly in touch with Shanghai Media and know the right person to talk to for specific events . You keep database of all media contacts, and you work with CCS staff writer writing team to supply them with monthly news stories.   You also help classes to upload their information to these media and promote classes. Commitment can be 1 day a week at Center, other time work from home.
 •  Fund Raising specialist: We need commission based fund raisers to talk to companies and encourage companies to become partners for CCS.  Also the fund raiser can follow up on leads already provided by marketing to build up more "Friends" of CCS
