Volunteering Opportunities
I have always volunteered in some form or capacity since my children were young. Whether it was organizing a playgroup, participating with the school's PTA, teaching English in Japan, or taking a leadership position in an organization, volunteering my time has always been meaningful and important to me.
My family moved to Shanghai in August 2010 with three weeks notice. New acquaintances recommended checking out the Community Center for information. At the Jingqiao center, I was warmly greeted by CCS staff members who filled up a tote bag with maps, pamphlets, and business cards while explaining all the Community Center offered. I was impressed.
Our first year here was a huge and sometimes difficult transition for my entire family. The Community Center though, with their reference books, tours, and classes, has made some of the transitions a lot easier. When the family settled in, I decided to take my extra time to volunteer somewhere. What better place than the Community Center Shanghai which has been a great resource to me.
I highly recommend volunteering for the Community Center where you’ll make an immediate impact, be giving back to the community, and become part of the CCS family.
