| Summary: | Many children who are up for adoption and foster care have started their lives with disadvantages and life experiences that have left them traumatized.
Adoption is a legal process that allows a child to become a permanent member of a new family. Fostering provides a child a loving and caring environment in which to grow and then perhaps later the fostered child can return to his or her birth family. |
