Description
SCAA is a private, non-profit organization committed to protecting and improving the health and welfare of companion animals through education, health care, advocacy, outreach, adoption and the promotion of foster care as an alternative approach to traditional shelters. We believe it is the right of every companion animal to have a safe, healthy life in a loving home.

Yes, at any SCAA event. See website calendar for details. Donated funds are used for animal medical care (vaccinations, spay/neuter for foster and project animals) or for the purpose of raising more funds (ie fundraising events). All SCAA staff are volunteers.

Volunteer Description
• Foster an animal • Volunteer to go to an SCAA supported project and groom and pet the animals, help set up cages, pet animals or sell goods at adoption days, assist with events, etc.) • Treasurer/Accounting (minimum 1 year commitment) • Administration (minimum 1 year commitment) • Website maintainance (minimum 1 year commitment) • Speakers willing to learn about and go to schools to talk to students about SCAA and animal welfare (English / English & Chinese speaking) • Event Coordinator • Anyone can help sell calendars to raise funds! Volunteer Requirement
• Volunteers for Adoption days to help set up and sell SCAA products and talk to people about our mission, and answer questions about SCAA. • Volunteers to help sell calendars and other SCAA goods in their community to help raise funds for SCAA Animals. • Speakers willing to learn about and go to schools (when invited) to talk to students about SCAA and animal welfare (English / English & Chinese speaking) • Event Coordinator (minimum 1 year commitment) English speaking, willing to handle everything from contact with vendors, marketing the event, working with volunteers and seeing that the event goes successfully. Must have experience in PR/Marketing. • Administration assistant (minimum 1 year commitment): record keeping, answering standard reply emails and directing emails to appropriate persons to answer • Treasurer/Accounting (minimum 1 year commitment) • Do you have a lot of time and love animals?
