Volunteer Requirement

There are three ways to donate to the Sunrise University Scholarship Program. The first is to continue sponsoring your student once he/she graduates from high school. This is easy as the only thing that changes is the amount of your sponsorship; your donation is still made year-to-year. Things do change however, for your student as they must meet the same requirements that scholarship recipients must meet; apply each year for funding, maintain a minimum grade point average and participate in community service. The second way to donate is to have a scholarship in your name. This would require the 4-year donation be made in full then a student would be selected by the Sunrise University Scholarship Selection Committee. You will receive information on your student just as you would if you sponsored a high school student. Lastly, you can make a donation of any amount and specify that it go toward a university scholarship. Your donation will be combined with other donations to make the full amount required for a scholarship; these scholarships are known as Shanghai Sunrise Scholarships.
