Description

Half the Sky employs, trains and supervises local women to work as full-time nannies, providing orphaned babies the stimulation, bonding and affection that are essential to a healthy start. The little ones make their journey from sleeping infants to running toddlers with the help of Half the Sky-trained nannies with whom they develop deep emotional bonds.

• They organize walks and runs and bikeathons • They collect dress-up clothes for our Little Sisters Preschools • They throw parties and bring friends together for all sorts of occasions • They plan yard sales and car washes and pizza parties • They collect spare coins at home and in offices and schools • They join a volunteer work crew in China • They celebrate birthdays and ask for donations in lieu of gifts • They give presentations and host informational tables at events. • They pass on HTS newsletters and tell their friends about what we do
