CCS invites you to ACE (Arts & Charity Extravaganza)--our annual benefit showcasing Shanghai’s international school students’ talents in the arts.This year CCS hosts the benefit in support of River of Hearts, an outreach program that through community donations, gives new and gently used clothing and accessories to the disadvantaged. 2012 Extravaganza’s goal is to raise 25,000 RMB to augment the long distance transportation costs of delivering the items to its destinations.

Last year 593 bags and boxes of clothing, shoes, toys and miscellaneous items weighing in at 9.5 tons were delivered to Kashgar in the Uyghur Province of Xinjiang, along with 3 boxes sent to Guizhou by the Shanghai Hiking Group.

Uniting international students by highlighting artistic, fashion, and musical talents, come on out with your family and friends for a night of fun and to support a worthy cause. Here’s what’s happening at the ACE benefit:

ACE organizers are looking for organizations and individuals to help sponsor costs and/or provide transportation of the donated goods, thus maximizing the funds raised for charity.
