Finding Harmony in All Relationships


It is often easy to create a relationship, but difficult to maintain harmony over time. This one-day workshop will give you the knowledge and skills in building harmonious relationships with the people you care about – your partner, children, family, friends, and colleagues.
Mary K. Radpour is a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience.
Azin Nasseri has over 12 years of experience in marriage counseling, individual psychotherapy, executive coaching, and EAP services.

Coffee Connection
Learn relevant information, laugh about daily experiences, and linger to forge friendships while enjoying a cup of coffee. Coffee Connections are held on weekday mornings at our Pudong and Hongqiao Centers.
A Healing Touch – Traditional Massage for the Mind & Body

Dr. Bryan McMahon, a clinical practitioner of acupuncture, herbal medicine and Chinesebodywork, will introduce the art of tuina and its place within Chinese medicine. Translated literally as the art of "pushing and holding", tuina focuses on the stimulation of energy pathways that run through the body.

A Story of Helping a Child, Starting a Business and Engaging People in How Children with Special Needs are Served in China

Nelson Chow will talk about his family's experience in finding resources for their daughter Olivia, and the adventures of ultimately opening a pediatric center. He will outline the current state of pediatric therapy and special needs services for children, both foreign and local in China. This talk will give cultural context for special needs services and provide fascinating insights into a quickly developing profession in China.

River of Hearts Sorting Party
River of Hearts (ROH) was established in 2003 and is an outreach program of the Community Center Shanghai. ROH offers internationals the opportunity to donate new and quality used clothing and accessories that will then be distributed to those in need. The next ROH Sorting Party is on Saturday, May 26.
